Hello World!
Computer games are wonderful. At least, this is what I'm discovering after borrowing a swag of games from various people. You see, this is the first time in my life that I've actually had a computer capable of playing the majority of games (up until only a few months ago I relied on a 7-year old Pentium 100 still running windows 3.11 or a 3-year old Toshiba laptop with only slightly more under the bonnet). The last game I had actually bought was the classic first-person shooter, 'Wolfenstien 3d' for $10 bucks or so. So, with my nice newish PC (when it decides work), I've been catching up on all that lost playing time... much the annoyance of many people. I discovered 'the Sims' (even if the expansion pack still refuses to work and I'm going to take it back), 'Dungeon Keeper' (man, I love being the mad guy) and a swag of demos. Today I raided CMC's house (the man seems to own practically every computer game known to the human race) and 'borrowed' the majority of his Star Trek collection, or, at least, the good ones - 'Academy', 'Command' and 'Elite Force' and had a bash at playing multi-player 'Armada' only, in typical fashion, the computer crashed just as i was about to start kicking some serious Klingon hiney (I was playing the Borg - who better). So if I'm not around much the next few days, that's why.
