'Tactical Assault' To Join 'Legacy' For Star Trek Gamers

A new game, Star Trek: Tactical Assault, is being developed for the Nintendo DS and PSP.
GameCloud reported that the latest Game Informer magazine has a sidebar to its article on the upcoming Star Trek: Legacy on Tactical Assault, which is described as a space-based tactical strategy game.
Quicksilver Software is developing the game, set entirely in the original Star Trek series timeline. On the DS, the touch screen will allow users to access a command console via the stylus to control the action from the lower screen.
Combat will take place in two dimensions as in Starfleet Command. TrekCore Gaming has an image from the game and notes that single player focuses on combat between the Federation and Klingons, while wireless multiplayer allows the ships of other races to be played.
Star Trek: Tactical Assault will likely be released in the fall along with Legacy. More information is available in the new issue of Game Informer.
