Magazine Scan - image copyright Paramount Pictures Even though the premiere of Enterprise is still three months away, Paramount Pictures appears to have already started its publicity campaign for the series. TrekToday was just sent a scan of an article that will be published in the upcoming 'Farewell Voyager' Special Issue of the British TV Zone Magazine.

The scan we received showed the mock-up artwork created for one of the first pages of the article, which has the title 'Star Trek - An Enterprising Adventure?' It shows Scott Bakula (Captain Jonathan Archer), as well as a Klingon. Also shown are an early Klingon vessel and a ship that looks to be Zefram Cochrane's Phoenix, from 'First Contact.' Below is a detailed look at the two ships:

It is important to stress that none of the elements included in the picture are expected to appear in the actual series. It is unlikely that any finished effects shots of any of the starships in Enterprise already exist, so these starship images are probably Paramount archive shots that fit in with the show's prequel premise. The Klingon pictured looks to be an old shot of Chancellor Gorkon from 'The Undiscovered Country,' while the shot of Bakula comes from a publicity photo from his 1999 mini-series NetForce.

Though it is unknown in which magazine this article will appear or what the contents of the article will be, the fact that this image shows both a Klingon warrior and a Klingon vessel would suggest that it will at least include a bit more info on this encounter. Of course, once it becomes known from which magazine this image originates and when it will appear on store shelves we will let you know.

As the Enterprise premiere approaches, more magazines and television programs will do features on the series. Hopefully, in the coming months we'll also get to see actual publicity shots from the show, rather than early mock-up artwork.

Major thanks go out to W Forde for sending us this scan! To see a full version of the image, please follow this link. The actual article will be appearing in the upcoming Farewell Voyager special issue of TV Zone, details of which will be posted on the Visual Imaginations web site soon. Please be aware that all artwork from the Star Trek series is of course copyrighted by Paramount Pictures.
