Paramount Releases 'Nemesis' Wallpapers

Paramount this week handed out the first 'Star Trek: Nemesis' promotional material at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in Los Angeles.

Fans coming to the Activision stand at E3 were not only able to get a glimpse at upcoming Trek computer games such as 'Elite Force 2,' but also could receive a CD containing an electronic press kit for 'Nemesis.' Included on the CD, as reported yesterday, were materials such as AOL buddy icons, sound clips, a screensaver and several desktop wallpapers. Small versions of four of those wallpapers can be seen below - please click on the images to see larger versions:

The first image obviously shows three of the 'Enterprise' crew members, while the second shows the official film logo. The final two images show the film's titular 'Nemesis,' the Reman leader Shinzon, as well as several Remans.

The press kit itself was a well-polished production, containing a 'Nemesis'-themed navigation interface. Below are two screenshots from the disc, containing a look at the entire 'Enterprise' crew as well as a bird that likely is either the Romulan or the Reman logo:

With the release of this first electronic press kit and the planned release of the 'Nemesis' trailer in front of 'Men in Black 2' (story), it seems the promotional campaign for the next Star Trek film is now in full swing. With the film's release now less than seven months away, more promotional appear will undoubtedly appear over the coming months.
