Hello World!
I bought my first DVD during the week. Now that I have a broadband internet connection and own a DVD, I feel part of the same century as everyone else. It's a strange feeling.
I got 'Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within' and 'Crouching Tiger.' The only problem is, after watching these films with bittersweet endings, I am desperately in need of some feel-good fluff.
Surprise of the week was the news that Final Fantasy VI is getting a European release. If I try to ignore the fact that the game has been out for around ten years in north America, where its Playstation re-release came with another older FF game, I can almost pretend it's good news. If I try really hard, I can almost pretend that the fact that it's coming with a demo of FFX doesn't mean the release of FFX proper hasn't been pushed back yet again. Sigh. Of course, I'll still rush out and buy it.
Shameless plug of the day goes to the online store at Cyber Candy. I had real problems ordering from there yesterday, and their staff are seriously helpful and nice. Besides, they sell cool stuff. Highly recommended.
