Enterprise has ended the February sweeps period on a stable note, with 'Canamar' pulling in the same overnights as the week before's 'Future Tense'.
The episode averaged a 4.5/7 rating, according to figures published at Zap2it. This means approximately 4.5% of American households with television sets were tuned into Enterprise, while the episode was viewed by 7% of households watching television at the time. These figures come from overnight ratings based on the top markets, and final ratings will be available next week.
The overnights for 'Future Tense' last week were encouraging in their own right, scoring Enterprise's best figures since late last year. Although all figures are down on last February's numbers, it is a good sign at least that 'Canamar' could hold the overnights of 'Future Tense' before the show embarks upon re-runs again.
Enterprise came last in the 8pm timeslot, with CBS winning the hour with Star Search on 8.6/13. CBS was followed by Fox with That '70s Show on 6.7/10 and American Idol on 9.7/15, ABC with My Wife and Kids on 7.1/11 and George Lopez on 6.7/10, and the WB which came fifth with 'The Lone Ranger' movie which averaged 4.8/7.
In the 9pm slot, Enterprise lead-out The Twilight Zone dropped down to 2.9/4. Whilst not up to the standard of last week's 3.3/5, it was still above the week before's 2.5/4.
UPN was able to take the #5 spot last week, beating the WB's Birds of Prey final episodes. However, in the face of 'The Lone Ranger' UPN was leap-frogged by the WB again to the #5 spot, coming in last with 3.7/5 down from last week's 3.9/7. This is still however; the network was seeing 3.2/5 just a few weeks ago. NBC won the night with 9.7/15, followed by CBS with 8.9/15, Fox with 7.3/11, ABC on 7.0/11 and the WB on 4.8/7.
