Hello World!

'Faith of the Heart' certainly got a very public showing at the Commonwealth Games opening ceremony the other day, with Russell Watson belting out the Enterprise theme accompanied by a choir. Although I was pleased they were singing the extended version of the song, I must say, the hand-actions of the backing singers looked rather absurd.

I didn't really intend to watch that much of the CG, but I got sucked into the diving last night. Some of those divers are truly breathtaking, although every time they jumped, it looked like they were going to hit the board - one poor guy did clip his toes on it.

Australia's off to a good start - second on the medal board, just behind the Canadians, but I'm sure we'll eclipse them soon.:)

  • Rene Echevarria Joins 'Dark Angel'
Former TNG and DS9 scribe Rene Echevarria signed aboard James Cameron's Dark Angel as co-executive producer. "As soon as I saw the 'Dark Angel' pilot, I knew it was something I wanted to be a part of," the writer said. "It's big and exciting with a great balance between character, action and humor."

  • New 'Drive' Spoiler
It was reported Tom Paris and B'Elanna Torres would be married in the upcoming Voyager episode 'Drive.' Despite later rumours that the pair would not be married until mid-season, they did indeed tie the knot in the episode.

  • Set Decorator Mees Recovering
Emmy-winning set decorator Jim Mees suffered a brain aneurysm on the Voyager set. He was immediately rushed to hospital, where he was said to be doing "miraculously well," after four hours of surgery.
