Scott Bakula's (Jonathan Archer) mission to be boldly featured in every media publication continued this week when he graced the cover of a Sunday magazine.

Together with his co-stars Dominic Keating (Malcolm Reed) and Jolene Blalock (T'Pol), Bakula appeared on the cover of Parade. The threesome held high-tech gadgets to promote an article about electronic gift ideas inside.

The magazine also included an interview with Bakula in which he talked about the level of technology on Enterprise. "The television technology is more advanced," the actor said (via the Scott Bakula Fan Forum). "But the ship is much smaller and has a submarine feel to it. So much so that [the producers] went to San Diego and spent time on a sub. The hardware is more hands-on. We're talking less to computers, and there's more pulling of levers. I think the audience is going to feel, since this is set not that far into the future, that there's more a sense of the possible."

"It's wagon train time, like the Old West, and much closer to the essence of Roddenberry," Bakula continued. "We're not in leotards but in jumpsuits made of cotton and with pockets. We're the first Star Trek crew ever to have pockets."

Further extracts from the interview can be found here at the Scott Bakula Fan Forum. Thanks to Miri for this!
