Nimoy 'Bugs' Out

Amongst the famous celebrities featured in the new Volkswagen "Das Auto" advertising campaign is Leonard Nimoy.

As reported by Autoblog, a new campaign featuring Max, a vintage talking black Volkswagen Beetle, has commenced and is currently airing on television.

Max the Beetle has candid conversations with each celebrity regarding Volkswagen's intuition on "what the people want". Celebrities appearing in the commercials are: supermodel Heidi Klum, David Hasselhoff, NASA astronaut Richard Searfoss, music-sharing innovator Shawn Fanning, former chair-throwing basketball coach Bob Knight and Star Trek's Leonard Nimoy.

Some of the thirty-second commercials can be seen on YouTube, although Nimoy's commercial has yet to appear online. The commercials will be appearing on television throughout the month of April.

Nimoy's commercial is currently airing on television. At the end of his commercial, with a nod to Star Trek Nimoy rises from his chair and then "beams out".
