Last night's brand new Enterprise adventure saw a slight dip in the overnight ratings figures, but still grabbed a solid result.

'Marauders' picked up a 5.0 rating and a share of 7 according to MediaWeek. This figure translates into 5% of homes with TV sets saw Enterprise last night, and 7% of all those watching television at the time saw the Star Trek show.

The previous all-new Enterprise to air - October 17th's 'A Night in Sickbay' - did slightly better in the overnight figures, scoring a 5.1. 'Marauders' was actually the lowest rated new episode to air since 'Carbon Creek' rated a 4.8 in September. MediaWeek's Programming Insider Marc Berman called the series "still reliable" on the basis of last night's ratings.

Enterprise cam fifth in the 8-9 p.m timeslot on Wednesday, beating Dawson's Creek on the WB by 25% and a rating of 4.0. My Wife and Kids on ABC was the highest rated show that hour, with an 8.9 - though CBS' 60 Minutes was highest rated over the hour with 8.0. NBC's ED and ABC's 8:30 show George Lopez tied with a 7.5. FOX's Bernie Mac at 8 and Cedric the Entertainer Presents at 8:30 came in ahead of Enterprise in fourth place with a 6.0 rating.

The Twilight Zone again came last in its 9 p.m timeslot, with a 3.0 rating and a share of 5. Berman included the Enterprise lead-out in his list of last night's losers, for the second week running. NBC's The West Wing won the night at 9 p.m with a 12.7 rating and a share of 18.

Please note that these figures only represent the overnight ratings from the top 47 television markets in the country. The final national ratings, measuring all markets, should be available within a few days. As Star Trek tends to be most popular in large urban markets, the final figures are usually lower than the overnight ratings.
