Scott Chambliss was nominated for a 2009 Art Directors Guild awards for his work on Star Trek XI.
The Art Directors Guild Awards are given out for three categories of films; contemporary, period and fantasy films. Star Trek XI is classified in the fantasy film category.
The other contenders for the award in the fantasy film category are:
- Rick Carter, Robert Stromberg (Avatar)
- Philip Ivey (District 9)
- Stuart Craig (Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince)
- K.K. Barrett (Where the Wild things Are)
Winners will be announced at a ceremony at the International Ballroom of the Beverly Hills Hilton Hotel on February 13.
