No Love For Star Trek XI From ACE And ADG

Two award ceremonies were held this weekend and Star Trek XI walked away empty-handed.

The two award ceremonies were the Art Directors Guild (ADG) Awards, held Saturday, and the American Cinema Editor’s (ACE) Eddie Awards, held yesterday.

ACEAward021510For the ADG awards, three categories of films received awards. The categories were for contemporary, period and fantasy films. Star Trek XI‘s Scott Chambliss was up for an Art Directors Guild award for Production Design in a Fantasy Film, but lost out to Rick Carter and Robert Stromberg (Avatar).

The 60th Annual ACE Eddie Awards ceremony was held yesterday. Star Trek XI‘s Maryann Brandon and Mary Jo Markey were up for the Best Edited Feature Film – Dramatic award. The award went to Bob Murawski and Chris Innis for The Hurt Locker.
