Star Trek XI Best Picture Oscar Snub
2 min readThe list of ten movies nominated for Best Picture for this year’s Oscars does not include Star Trek XI.
To the surprise of many, who if not expecting a Star Trek XI Best Picture win expected the movie to be on the list of potential Best Pictures, Star Trek XI has to be content with its other four nominations for Oscars in other categories.
The Best Picture list includes: Avatar, Blind Side (which many feel replaced Star Trek XI on the list), District 9, An Education, The Hurt Locker, Inglourious Basterds, Precious: based on the Novel ‘Push’ by Sapphire, A Serious Man, Up, and Up in the Air.
Star Trek XI was nominated for the Oscar in the following four categories:
