Pine In Early Negotiations
1 min readChris Pine, Star Trek XI‘s Captain Kirk, is in negotiations for a spy comedy movie.
Fox is trying to sign Pine for the starring role in the buddy spy comedy, This Means War.
Originally, Bradley Cooper was tapped to star opposite Reese Witherspoon in the spy comedy, but Cooper had to drop out due to scheduling conflicts with The Hangover 2.
In This Means War, two “spying best friends” are pitting against each other when they both fall for the same woman, Witherspoon. The other male role has not been cast yet.
This Means War has been under development for over a decade at Fox, who hopes to start production in July.
