‘Star Trek XII’ To Face Batman As Well As Spider-Man
1 min readWarner Bros. announced yesterday they will release the next Batman film on the 20th of July, 2012. This is exactly three weeks after the 29th of June, the planned opening date for the next Star Trek film. Nothing is yet known about the new Batman film besides the fact Christian Bale will be reprising the title role and Christopher Nolan will once again be directing, but as The Dark Knight was one of the most successful movies in box office history, this new sequel will undoubtedly provide fierce competition for the next Trek film.
Prior to that, other competition for Star Trek will come from the Spider-Man franchise, which will launch with a reboot film on Tuesday the 3rd of July, just half a week after the launch of Star Trek XII.
