Collins Joins New NBC Drama
1 min readClifton Collins Jr., best-known to Star Trek fans as Ayel the Romulan in Star Trek XI, will be appearing in The Event, a new NBC drama series that will debut this fall.
Collins will play Thomas, who is a “key player in the show’s secret conspiracy who will come into contact with the President of the United States (played by Blair Underwood).
The Event is described as “an emotional high-octane conspiracy thriller that follows Sean Walker (Jason Ritter), an ‘everyman’ who investigates the mysterious disappearance of his fiancée, Leila (Sarah Roemer), and unwittingly begins to expose the biggest cover-up in U.S. history.
“Sean’s quest will send ripples through the lives of an eclectic band of strangers, including: newly elected U.S. President Martinez; Sophia (Laura Innes), who is the leader of a mysterious group of detainees; and Sean’s shadowy father-in-law (Scott Patterson). Their futures are on a collision course in a global conspiracy that could ultimately change the fate of mankind.”
The pilot for The Event will be screened at Comic-Con. The Event will debut Monday, September 20.
