Takei Joins Nickelodeon Show
1 min readGeorge Takei, the original series’ Sulu, has joined the Nickelodeon channel’s Supah Ninjas.
Supah Ninjas is a comedy about three kids who are “drafted into a secret world of crime fighting.”
Takei will play recently-deceased grandfather of Mike Fukanaga, a high school student who is descended from a “long line of ninjas.” He will appear as an interactive hologram who will help to train the team of “Supah Ninjas.”
“The grandfather has the serious task of instructing the next generation of ninjas, but he also has a lot of funny moments and I find that a refreshing take on the traditional teacher-student relationship,” said Takei.
A preview of Supah Ninjahs will air on Nickelodeon on Monday, January 17, at 9 PM.
