Jack Ryan Delays May Affect Trek Production

1 min read

The Jack Ryan movie, which will star Star Trek XI‘s Chris Pine as the intelligence agent created by Tom Clancy, may be delayed which will impact Pine’s availability for other projects, including Star Trek XII.

Supposedly the movie, to be directed by Jack Bender, will be rewritten, with Steve Zaillian in negotiations to do the rewrite.

Jack Ryan (the working title) was supposed to begin production in Budapest next month, but will be pushed back a bit. The shooting can only be delayed a bit though, due to Pine needing to be available for Star Trek XII.

It’s anticipated that Star Trek XII will be impacted by this, with production being “nudged slightly,” but the Star Trek XII release date should not be affected.
