StarTrek.com To Stream Convention Panels
2 min readFans unable to attend The Official 45th Anniversary Las Vegas Star Trek Convention, which will be held from August 11-14, will be able to stream some of the panels and be able to participate via a live chat function for a modest cost.
According to the CBS Consumer Products press release, “CBS Consumer Products has joined forces with Creation Entertainment and Tvoop.com to live stream The Official 45th Anniversary Las Vegas Star Trek Convention on StarTrek.com, putting some of the series’ legendary stars into the homes of fans anywhere in the world.”
Each panel will cost $6.99, with the exception of The Three Captains panel which will cost $14.99, and the schedule can be seen below (all times are Pacific):
Thursday August 11
- 1:05 pm: Voyager‘s Ensign Harry Kim – Garret Wang
- 1:55 pm: Return to the Sixties – Lee Meriwether, Yvonne Craig and Clint Howard
- 4:25 pm: Return to Enterprise – Dominic Keating and Connor Trinneer
Friday August 12
- 9:15 am: Deep Space Nine Aliens – Jeffrey Combs, Nicole de Boer, Vaughn Armstrong, Casey Biggs, Max Grodenchik & Armin Shimerman
- 10:35 am: Mr. Chekov – Walter Koenig
- 11:30 am: Voyager’s Tuvok – Tim Russ
- 12:05 pm: Deep Space Nine’s Odo and Kira – Rene Auberjonois and Nana Visitor
Saturday August 13

- 11:00 am: Deep Space Nine’s Jadzia Daz – Terry Farrell
- 12:40 pm: Voyager’s Captain Janeway – Kate Mulgrew

Sunday August 14

What’s up with the TNG Panel. No one from the main cast was able to attend? That’s not good.
Yes, I don’t see how they can call it a TNG session, with no one from the crew there. (Well, Denise was, but not for long). Is this the triumph of Q?
(note: the convention website lists Data, Riker, and even Uhura as attendees, but no live streaming of them?).
