Hemsworth Up For BAFTA Award
1 min readStar Trek XI‘s Chris Hemsworth (George Kirk) is on the initial list of nominees for the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) 2012 Orange Rising Star Award.
Hemsworth joins seven others on the list of up-and-coming actors for 2012.
The list includes:
- Chris Hemsworth (Star Trek XI, Thor)
- Tom Hiddleston (Thor)
- Felicity Jones (Like Crazy)
- Eddie Redmayne (My Week with Marilyn)
- Chris O’Dowd (Bridesmaids)
- Jennifer Lawrence (X-Men: First Class)
- Jessica Chastain (Tree of Life)
- Adam Deacon (Casualty)
This list of eight will be reduced to five finalists on January 11th, with the winner to be announced on February 12 at the BAFTA ceremony.
Last year’s Orange Rising Star winner, Tom Hardy, also had a Star Trek connection. Hardy played Shinzon in Star Trek: Nemesis.
