Eve To Join Star Trek 2?

If J.J. Abrams has his way, Alice Eve (She’s Out of My League, Entourage) will be appearing in Star Trek 2.

Two other actresses, Teresa Palmer (I am Number Four), and Hayley Atwell (Captain America: The First Avenger) were in contention for the role, but Eve was the one chosen by Abrams.

It has not been announced what role Eve would play, if she signs up for Star Trek 2, which she expects to do shortly, but the character she would play is said to be “new to the canon.”

This is in contrast to the role that Benicio del Toro (if he signs) would play, which is supposedly a character who would be familiar to Star Trek fans; Khan perhaps, or another familiar Klingon.

Once these two actors’ deals are inked, there is supposed to be one more newcomer role to cast. The role is said to be that of a villain; one who is older than del Toro’s character, but in spite of his age, a supporting character to del Toro’s character.
