Hemsworth On BAFTA Short List
1 min readStar Trek XI‘s Chris Hemsworth (George Kirk) is a finalist for a British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) 2012 Orange Rising Star Award.
The others on the finalist list with Hemsworth include Chris O’Dowd (Bridesmaids), Adam Deacon (Casualty), Eddie Redmayne (My Week with Marilyn) and Tom Hiddleston (Thor).
The original list of eight included the five men, plus three women who did not make the final cut. The women were Jessica Chastain (Tree of Life), Jennifer Lawrence (X-Men: First Class) and Felicity Jones (Like Crazy).
The winner will be announced February 12 at the BAFTA ceremony.
Last year’s Orange Rising Star winner, Tom Hardy, also had a Star Trek connection. Hardy played Shinzon in Star Trek: Nemesis.
