For Star Trek fans in the UK, October will prove to be an exciting month as all five Star Trek television captains; William Shatner, Patrick Stewart, Avery Brooks, Kate Mulgrew and Scott Bakula, will be appearing on the stage at Destination Star Trek London.

Destination Star Trek London organizers claim that their event will be the “first official Star Trek live event in the UK for ten years.”

“The Star Trek fan base in the UK is one of the biggest in the world, and it has waited a long time for the convention to return, so we wanted to make sure we did it right,” said Liz Kalodner, general manager of CBS Consumer Products.

It’s not just the five captains,” said Rob Nathan, marketing director for Media 10. Media 10 is organizing the events in collaboration with CBS.

“There will be a host of other guests from the series,” said Nathan. “The fans will be able to get up close. We are going to make this really interactive. There are going to be stunt displays, we are going to recreate some sets, and get some original sets. People will be able to sit on the starship bridge with members of the cast.

“It’s going to be an absolute pilgrimage for Star Trek fans.”

Destination Star Trek London will be held at the Excel Exhibition center in London from Oct 19-21. Tickets will go on sale beginning April 30.

  1. Look like the Captains all really want to go to London because you won’t see them all do that just anywhere. Like here in the U.S.A.!

  2. Four of them (minus Stewart) are slated to be at Wizard World’s ComicCon in June, but just for autograph signing. However, Stewart himself is going to appear in May at Creation’s Cherry Hill, NJ convention. So this guy is going to both in the hopes of meeting all of the captains and getting all of their autographs. 🙂
