Yelchin The Photographer
1 min readRecently, Anton Yelchin was asked by Bullett Magazine to submit a photo essay inspired by youth and the results of that essay reveal what interests the actor about people and their growth from youth to adulthood.
There are some self-portraits in the collection, but Yelchin’s photos do not show the glamorous life that an actor might lead in Hollywood.
“I’m interested in the ideas of chaos, violence, and sex, specifically the voyeuristic exploration of youth,” said Yelchin. “The photos are about exploring the line where youth and maturity —’innocence’ (which is a fabricated concept I have a hard time believing in) and perversion – cross.”
The photos may be seen here. A caution; one photo is not “worksafe,” but shows nudity.
