Saldana Joins Machete Kills

Star Trek 2‘s Zoë Saldana has joined the cast of Machete Kills.
In Machete Kills, Machete Cortez (Danny Trejo) has been hired by the US government to “battle his way through Mexico in order to thwart an arms dealer with plans to launch a weapon into space.”
“Machete Kills is gong to be a lot more over-the-top than Machete,” said Trejo. “We’ve got Sofia Vergara, who is a star in her own right, Jessica Alba, Michelle Rodriguez, and Zoë Saldana. And guess what? I get to kiss all of ’em.”
Directed by Robert Rodriguez, Machete Kills will begin production in three weeks, and is expected to be released next year.
