Saldana In Talks for Marvel Movie

Star Trek‘s Zoë Saldana is in talks to play the female lead in a new science fiction movie.
The movie is Guardians of the Galaxy, and Saldana would take on the role of alien Gamora.
In Guardians of the Galaxy, Gamora, a green-skinned humanoid assassin, is the last member of a species wiped out by the Badoon race.
Others signed for Guardians of the Galaxy include Chris Pratt as Star-Lord and Dave Bautista as Drax the Destroyer. Other characters in the movie include Groot, a giant tree-man, and Rocket Raccoon, a “genetically engineered animal with a knack for guns and explosives.”
Directed by James Gunn, Guardians of the Galaxy expects to begin production in June, with a projected August 2014 release date.
