IDW Publishing has announced its publishing schedule for January 2014 and two Star Trek comic books are on the list.

The Trek comics include: Star Trek: Khan #4, and Star Trek #29.

In Star Trek: Khan #4, “the Eugenics Wars are over…but the next chapter in the life of Khan Noonien Singh has just begun. Only in this all-new mini-series are the secrets of Khan’s revival in the future by Admiral Marcus and the agents of Section 31 finally revealed.”

Written by Mike Johnson, this issue features art and cover by David Messina, and cover by Paul Shipper. Star Trek: Khan #4 is overseen by Roberto Orci.

Star Trek: Khan #4 is thirty-two pages in length and will cost $3.99.

Star Trek #29 continues the “all-new Five Year Mission of the Enterprise.” In this issue, “Captain Jane Tiberius Kirk and her crew encounter a never-before-seen enemy in deep space! Wait… Jane Kirk? What’s going on?! All will be revealed in the first chapter of this new two-part story.”

Written by Mike Johnson with art by Yasmin Liang and cover by Cat Staggs, Star Trek #29 is overseen by Roberto Orci.

Star Trek #29  is also thirty-two pages in length, and will sell for $3.99.

  1. I remember a time when Gene Roddenberry and Lincoln Enterprises had to approve all Trek-based fiction. My how times have changed.

  2. Just when you think you can’t be more disappointed, they disappoint so much more.

  3. I am so proud that a major comics publisher is carrying on the Trek tradition of gender-reversal fanfic, for those who want to see the crew schtupp themselves and/or each other, but are deathly afraid of going full slash and what that implies about their sexuality.

  4. Captain Jane Tiberius Kirk? Seriously? Isn’t it bad enough that we have terrible Jane/Jamie/Jim the female Kirk fan fiction. And then there’s the MPreg fan fiction which amounts to utter hogwash.
