Ryan To Guest Star On Syfy Thriller
1 min readStar Trek: Voyager‘s Jeri Ryan will be seen on Syfy‘s original series Helix, which will debut next January.
Helix is a thriller about “a team of scientists from the Centers for Disease Control who travel to the high-tech research facility Arctic Biosystems, to investigate a possible disease outbreak, only to find themselves pulled into a terrifying life-and-death struggle that may hold the key to mankind’s salvation or total annihilation. However, the lethal threat is just the tip of the iceberg, and as the virus evolves, the chilling truth begins to unravel.”
Ryan will play Constance Sutton, “the Chief Operating Officer of Ilaria Corporation, owner of Arctic Biosystems, the research facility where the series takes place. Charming and savvy, Sutton is used to getting her way at any cost.”
The role is expected to be part of a multi-episode arc.
Helix stars Billy Campbell (The 4400), and Hiroyuki Sanada (The Wolverine). The series will be executive produced by Ronald D. Moore, Steven Maeda and Lynda Obst; and directed by Jeffrey Reiner. The Helix pilot was written by Cameron Porsandeh.
Ryan tweeted about Helix, responding to a tweet from the show’s writers. “Thanks for giving me such fun stuff to play,” she said.
You mean no one’s posted yet that she’s still a babe, and a really good actress and always nice to her public? You’re kidding. This whole Star Trek Into JJ’s Stanky Butthole fracas is distracting us from the more pleasant aspects of Trek.
If I focused too much on Jeri Ryan my hands wouldn’t be free to type.
