John de Lancie, best known to Trek fans as the mischievous Q, will be narrating several holiday concerts this weekend.

De Lancie will be performing The Christmas Story According to St. Luke by Robert Wagner.

Both holiday concerts will be held in Riverside California by La Sierra University. The first concert is the Candlelight Concert, to be held Friday, December 6 at 7:30 at the La Sierra University Church in Riverside. Admission is free.

In the Candlelight Concert, classical and spiritual works will be featured, and will include choral performances, sing-along carols, spirituals, scriptural readings, orchestral works, and a sing-along of Hallelujah Chorus by George Frideric Handel.

The next night, the Sounds of the Season holiday concert will be held at the Riverside Fox Performing Arts Center at 8 PM. Tickets for this performance range from $15-$45 (not counting Ticketmaster’s usual processing fees).

The Sounds of the Season concert will include “the La Sierra University Big Band performing Winter Wonderland, a gospel rendition of We Wish You a Merry Christmas, Christmas Time is Here from A Charlie Brown Christmas, and other tunes of the season. The program lineup will include sing-along carols and an orchestra performance of Sleigh Ride, Tchaikovsky‘s Valse des Fleurs from The Nutcracker ballet and other works.”
