The rumors have been swirling around the Internet for months now, but Zoë Saldana has finally confirmed that she was married last summer.

Saldana married Marco Perego in a secret ceremony in London.

Appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live! last night, Saldana confirmed that she had married. “Congratulations! You got married since the last time I saw you,” said Kimmel.

“I did,” said Saldana. “And congratulations to you, too. You got married.”

“I got married in England. I did it in England,” said Saldana.

The ceremony was a small, intimate one, according to one unnamed source. “It was super small, but very romantic and beautiful.”

Saldana’s latest project, Out of the Furnace, opens on Friday. In the drama, Saldana plays Lena, ex-girlfriend of Russell Baze (Christian Bale), who is looking for his missing brother Rodney (Casey Affleck). The movie was filmed in Braddock, Pennsylvania, a former steel town located in the Pittsburgh suburbs.

“I was very moved immediately, how I saw the town,” said Saldana, “and the more you drove around, you felt the pulse — the town is still alive.”

“We have to pay attention; no matter how bad we have it, there are others going through worse things,” said Saldana. “Whatever our country has experienced in the last twelve years has impacted a lot of American families. Jobs closing, people having their sons go to war and the damages that happen to their spirit.”
