Nimoy To Appear With Boston Pops
1 min readLater this spring, Leonard Nimoy will appear with the Boston Pops in a space-themed concert.
Nimoy will be the host for two performances of Out of this World with Leonard Nimoy.
Out of this World with Leonard Nimoy, led by guest conductor Sarah Hicks, “features music inspired by outer space, with onstage commentary from the celebrated actor. Highlights include Holst’s The Planets (performed alongside a NASA film), the theme from Star Trek, the Also Sprach Zarathustra theme popularized in the film 2001: A Space Odyssey, and Boston Pops Laureate Conductor John Williams‘ intergalactic music from Star Wars, E.T., and Close Encounters of the Third Kind.”
The performances will be held May 23-24 at 8 PM each night at Symphony Hall in Boston. At Symphony Hall, “patrons sit at cabaret-style tables and order food and drink with family and friends, all while taking in the fun-filled atmosphere of music and entertainment presented by the one and only Boston Pops.”

It’s sweet that Mr. Nimoy still does things for Boston (the city he was born and raised in), given that he’s lived in California for sixty years now.
