Stewart Movie To Screen at Tribeca Film Festival
1 min readMatch, a movie in which Star Trek: The Next Generation‘s Sir Patrick Stewart has a role, will be shown at the 13th Annual Tribeca Film Festival.
Stewart’s role in the film is “colorful former dancer Tobi.”
“So very pleased to announce that a movie I filmed here in NYC has been accepted into @TribecaFilmFest this April,” said Stewart via Twitter.
“Match, directed and written by Stephen Belber, is the story of “a Seattle couple (Matthew Lillard and Carla Gugino), who travel to New York to interview colorful former dancer Tobi (Stewart) for research on a dissertation about dance. But soon, common niceties and social graces erode when the questions turn personal and the true nature of the interview is called into question. Based on the Tony Award-winning play of the same name, Match moves effortlessly between riotous wit and delicate poignancy in this story of responsibility, artistic commitment, and love.”
The 13th Annual Tribeca Film Festival will take place from April 16-27 in New York City.
