Star Trek: Voyager’s Robert Picardo will be taking part in Occupants, an independent film currently in the fundraising process.

Deep-pocketed donors to the project can even score a small part in the film and act alongside Picardo.

Occupants, a “found footage” science-fiction/horror film, is about “a young couple who discover a parallel version of themselves while surfing the Internet.” It will be produced by Russ Emanuel and Howard Nash.

Picardo and actress Chalet Brannan will have roles in Occupants, and the producers hope for a theatrical release, followed by a Blu-ray/DVD, Netflix and Redbox releases.

Various perks are offered to donors, ranging from thank yous and production updates, to a film cameo and a personal memento from Picardo from his years as “The Doctor” on Star Trek: Voyager.

For a limited time, “all donors, regardless of their contributed amount, will be entered into a raffle to meet star Robert Picardo, either on set, or after production, in either New York or Los Angeles (he presently lives and works in both cities).”

The Occupants campaign runs through September 10. For more information, head to the link located here.
