Quinto In The Slap
1 min readStar Trek into Darkness‘ Zachary Quinto has signed on to star in NBC‘s The Slap.
The Slap is a “complex family drama about what happens after a man slaps another couple’s misbehaving child.”
Quinto will be playing, Harry, the man responsible for slapping the child. “Married, with a fifteen year-old son, [Harry] is a mechanic/dealer specializing in expensive European automobiles, and lives with his family in a Brooklyn loft. Perennially angry but seemingly pleased with his life, he’s something of a Neanderthal, ‘always trying to pick a fight.’ However, Harry picks on the wrong guy when he slaps the horribly misbehaving child of another couple.”
Brian Cox, Peter Sarsgaard, and Mary-Louise Parker will also be involved in the eight-episode miniseries. No air date has yet been set.
Sounds like he plays the hero, IMO.
That’s a show?
What’s wrong with the australian version?
He’s always played the hero, especially on Heroes.
We wanted a version in English… LOL! Just kidding. Had a great visit to Australia years ago.
The concept sounds decidedly underwhelming! But Mr. Quinto is always good, so maybe he can bring something interesting to this show.
I know, a remake of an Australian series in 2011 which was based on a Australian 2008 multi-award winning novel.

They did the same thing with The Bridge (Denmark/Sweden) and The Bridge (US/Mexico) and then The Tunnel (UK/France).
Hopefully Zachary will do a good job.
