Rumor Mill: Saldana Gives Birth

Star Trek into Darkness‘ Zoë Saldana and her husband Marco Perego have supposedly become parents for the first time.

According to online reports, Saldana had her twins on Monday.

The twins, said to be boys, were born in a Los Angeles hospital.

“Zoë and Marco are delighted,” said a friend of the pair. “Zoë has been ready to drop for some time and they are both ecstatic to be meeting the twins.

“This is a dream come true for both of them and they are absolutely delighted. They have been looking forward [to] this day for the last nine months. Both want a big family so this is the start.”

Note that the news originates from one source and TrekToday has not been able to confirm the news elsewhere. Saldana is a very private person and readers will remember that it took longer than usual for word of her pregnancy to emerge.
