Cumberbatch Award Nomination

Star Trek into DarknessBenedict Cumberbatch was just nominated for a BAFTA award.

Cumberbatch was nominated in the TV award Leading Actor category, for his work on Sherlock.

It’s Cumberbatch’s third nomination for his Sherlock role. He was nominated in 2011 for Best Actor, losing out to Daniel Rigby. In 2012 he was nominated for Best Leading Actor, but lost out to Dominic West.

This year, Cumberbatch is up against Toby Jones (Marvelous), James Nesbitt (The Missing), and Jason Watkins (The Lost Honour of Christopher Jeffries) for the award.

The BAFTA awards ceremony will take place May 10 in London.
