The second annual Sci-Fest L.A. is in progress and several Star Trek actors are taking part in this year’s plays.

Sci-Fest L.A. presents “new one-acts adapted from some of the giants in the sci-fi and horror fields, including Neil Gaiman, Ray Bradbury and Clive Barker.”

The Trek actors appearing will include Walter Koenig, Nazneen Contractor (Star Trek Into Darkness), and Tucker Smallwood (Star Trek: Enterprise).

There are two programs which play on alternate days. Each program “consists of four or five plays lasting ten to twenty minutes each.”

Koenig will be appearing in one of the Program B plays, Efficiency. In Efficiency, directed by Jaime Robledo, a “ruthless dictator demands a meeting with a horrifically wounded soldier who (with the help of ‘replacement parts’) has been transformed into an unstoppable killing machine.”

Contractor and Smallwood will be appearing in one of the Program A plays, Human History. In Human History, directed by Malcolm Barrett and Matthew Leavitt, “far in the future, in a classroom on a distant planet, racial tensions run high as Earth’s history is debated, forgotten and relearned.”

The plays will take place at the Acme Theater at 135 N. La Brea Avenue in Los Angeles. Tickets cost $20-25 (online) or $25-30 (in person). For more information, head to the link located here.
