Julie Nimoy On Los Angeles CBS Tonight – UPDATED With Video
1 min readHeads up, Los Angeles Trek fans; Leonard Nimoy‘s daughter Julie will be appearing tonight on CBS to speak about her father.
Nimoy will share her thoughts on the passing of her father, and on the production of a new film on COPD.
Fans will hear of cherished memories, see never-before-seen photos, and hear details of Leonard Nimoy’s final illness. Julie is honoring her father’s final wish by making the film on COPD and spreading his “don’t smoke/quit smoking” message.
The segment will air tonight in Los Angeles on channel two at 11 PM. It is expected to be seen nationally at some point and TrekToday will provide an update (via Facebook and Twitter) on when it will air in other areas if the information becomes available to us. One would expect to see it on a CBS news segment, so keep an eye on promos for those in the next few days.
Congratulations go out to Julie, who recently married David Knight. As Spock would say, “Live Long and Prosper!”
I wish Julie all the best; it must be horribly difficult to lose such a beloved parent and to have to cope with that loss in public. I hope the documentary will turn out well; it does seem as if it was very dear to Mr. Nimoy’s heart during his final years, and it sounds like a worthy memoir to him.
And having read Adam Nimoy’s autobiography, I’m just glad that one of Mr. Nimoy’s children seemed to love him in a … less conflicted fashion.
