Really liking what looks to be the new away mission uniforms and I like the look of
the new alien.
I like the design of the uniforms, however, I think they’re very derivative of swashbucklers and “Star Wars.” But they said they wanted “Guardians” so there it is. Then again, this is one scene. Don’t see a rank designation but it must be there somewhere. No expectations for me on this so it’s all good.
You say “Star Wars”, I say “Dan Dare”. 😉
I find these Away uniforms quite interesting. In a way, they are channeling the Meyer-era feel with less of the bulk and garish red.
The new alien looks cool. But no more pointed sideburns on Starfleet guys? Say it isn’t so!

Kang is annoyed that the crew of the USS Enterprise continue to avoid wearing a Starfleet duty uniform as much as possible.

What is this casts aversion to wearing the updated TOS uniforms? More specifically it seems Chris Pine, who only wore it for 2 minutes in the first film and then took any chance to wear something else in Into Darkness…
Uh, the cast doesn’t choose what wardrobe they’ll wear in a given scene.
Scotty (the little imp doing the jig) has what appears to be a redesign of the duty uniform. Gone are the raglan sleeves, and the collar has been changed to reduce the amount of black. I’ll withhold final verdicts until I see better shots, though.
