Star Trek Beyond In IMAX

Next year, Star Trek Beyond will release in IMAX theaters as well in regular theaters.
One of the reasons the movie release date was changed from July 8 to July 22 was to get Star Trek Beyond into the IMAX theaters.
“Star Trek is an iconic franchise and IMAX is delighted to once again be a part of its world and to partner for the third time with Paramount Pictures, Skydance and Bad Robot on Star Trek Beyond,” said Greg Foster, senior executive VP of IMAX Corp. and CEO of IMAX Entertainment.

July 22nd gets this movie dangerously close to the August event horizon. Is Paramount losing confidence in the movie? Most big summer movies premiere well before this date. Not a good sign.
