March 2016 will be a busy month when it comes to Star Trek-themed comics.

Out that month will be: Star Trek #1 IDW’s Greatest Hits Edition, Star Trek #55 – Legacy of Spock – Part One, Star Trek: Starfleet Academy #4, Star Trek: The Classic UK Comics – Vol. 1, and Star Trek/Green Lantern: The Spectrum War.

Star Trek #1 IDW’s Greatest Hits Edition will introduce $1.00 versions of “key issues and launch-points from your favorite IDW books.” The first issue will be Star Trek #1, which “picks up where the 2009 film left off.”

Written by Mike Johnson, with art by Stephen Molnar, and a cover by David Messina, the thirty-two page issue is just a buck!

Next up is Star Trek #55 – Legacy of Spock – Part One. In this new story, the life of the “most iconic character of them all” is celebrated. In this first of a four part story, “elder Spock joins the last survivors of Vulcan to search the galaxy for a new homeworld.”

Written by Mike Johnson with art and cover by Tony Shasteen, the thirty-two page issue will cost $3.99. A variant subscription cover by J.K. Woodward will be available.

Star Trek: Starfleet Academy #4 will send an “all-new cast of cadets sets off on their first mission in space and headlong into a century-old mystery that could change the Academy forever. Meanwhile, Uhura risks her career in Starfleet with her only chance at redemption coming from a most unlikely place.”

Written by Mike Johnson and Ryan Parrott, and featuring art and cover by Derek Charm, the thirty-two page issue will cost $3.99 and will also come with a subscription variant cover and a general variant cover.

Star Trek: The Classic UK Comics – Vol. 1 will feature rare British Star Trek comics, which were first published beginning in 1969. The comics, written by Harry Lindfield, Jim Baikie, and Mike Noble, will feature art by Noble and a cover by Lindfield.

This first volume will be two-hundred-and-forty-four pages in length and will cost $49.99.

Wrapping up March will be Star Trek/Green Lantern: The Spectrum War. In this issue, “The crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise meets the Green Lantern Corps for the first time in an all-new adventure that spans the cosmos. Kirk and Spock make a most unusual discovery on a lost world… igniting events that will change the fate of empires.”

Written by Mike Johnson with art by Angel Hernandez and a cover by Stephen Molnar, this issue will run one-hundred-and-forty-pages in length and will cost $19.99.
