Chris Pine has joined the cast of A Wrinkle in Time.
A Wrinkle in Time is based on Madeleine L’Engle‘s children’s book of the same name.
In A Wrinkle in Time, Meg Murry (Storm Reid) is “a young girl traumatized by the disappearance of her scientist father years before. She finds herself on an interplanetary journey with a schoolmate and her younger brother to find her father. They are aided by a trio of supernatural beings, Mrs. Whatsit (Reese Witherspoon), Mrs. Who (Mindy Kaling) and Mrs. Which (Oprah Winfrey).
Pine will take on the role of the father. Gugu Mbatha-Raw will play his wife.
A Wrinkle of Time will begin shooting in L.A. later this fall.
