Paramount Receives Sizeable Investment From China

A new deal between Shanghai Film Group (SFG) and Huahua Media, and Paramount will add a billion dollars to Paramount‘s coffers.
The three-year deal was announced on China’s version of Twitter, Weibo.
The deal was a “very natural and very powerful” one, said Paramount Chairman Brad Grey, due to the large market presence of the two companies.
Huahua Media has worked with Paramount before, promoting films such as Star Trek III: The Search of Spock and Transformers: Age of Extinction.
