Sir Patrick Stewart wasn’t the only The Next Generation actor up for The Emoji Movie role of Poop.
Whoopi Goldberg was also after the role. “I just wanted to talk to you about a part I actually auditioned for in an upcoming film called The Emoji Movie,” she said to Stewart, who appeared on The View with her last week. “It’s a very dignified role, it’s one I deeply wanted to play, and I just heard that you’re doing it.
“It’s alright. I understand why they went with Patrick; I do. I understand because you want poop to sound like Patrick Stewart! You know poop sounds like me normally, but you want it to sound like Patrick!”
“[Poop] will be British,” replied Stewart.
