Wilson Joins Star Trek: Discovery As Mudd

Rainn Wilson, best known as Dwight Schrute on the US version of The Office, has joined the cast of Star Trek: Discovery.
Wilson will take on the guest star role of interstellar con man Harcourt Fenton Mudd.
After appearing on the nine-season run of The Office, Wilson starred as a detective on Backstrom and was also seen in Army of One, The Boy, and Uncanny.
Mudd, originally played by Roger C. Carmel, appeared in two original series episodes (Mudd’s Women, I Mudd) and one animated series episode (Mudd’s Passion).
There is no word yet in how many episodes Wilson will appear as Mudd.
