The Next Generation‘s Sir Patrick Stewart will be collecting another award, this one at the 25th annual Hamptons International Film Festival.

The actor will be given the Variety Creative Impact in Acting award on Saturday, October 7, by Steven Gaydos (Variety vice president) at the A Conversation with Patrick Stewart event.

“The Hamptons International Film Festival is proud to honor Patrick Stewart at our Twenty-Fifth anniversary,” said Anne Chaisson, Executive Director of the Hamptons International Film Festival. “He is one of the most renowned and talented actors in the industry. He has shown incredible versatility with different roles throughout his career in film, television and on stage. We are honored to partner with Variety to celebrate such a brilliant artist.”

“Internationally known, respected and beloved for his work on screens and stages of all sizes, Sir Patrick’s work in James Mangold‘s Logan this year ranks with his best and provides a wonderful opportunity to revisit Stewart’s admirable and still-thriving body of work,” said Gaydos.
