Cho Joins Netflix Drama

1 min read

Star Trek: Beyond‘s John Cho has joined the Netflix drama Tigertail.

Tigertail is the story of Director Alan Yang‘s “multi-generational family drama.” The script is “based on events that happened in his own family.” The movie “focuses on two people’s poor life choices,” and it “touches on themes of regret, longing, passion, and repression while spanning continents and generations, from 1950’s Taiwan to present-day New York City.”

Cho will take on the role of Grover, a man who “leaves his home country of Taiwan to move to America with Zhenzhen (Kunjue Li), a woman with whom he feels little connection.

Tzi Ma (Arrival) and Christine Ko (Hawaii Five-O) will also star in the drama.

Shooting on Tigertail begins next week in New York and Taiwan.
