Shatner: Halloween Mask Fun

1 min read

William Shatner fans and fans of  1978’s Halloween know that the mask worn by character Michael Myers was inspired by a Captain Kirk mask; which John Carpenter‘s art director found at Bert Wheeler’s Magic Shop in Hollywood and painted it for the horror flick.

What they don’t know was that Shatner wore the Myers mask himself one Halloween. “When my kids were younger…I’d wear the mask,” he said. “If [people] didn’t give them candy, I’d take off the mask, and blow a kiss.”
