Takei Joins AMC Anthology Series

The original series’ George Takei will join AMC‘s The Terror ten-episode anthology for its second season.
He will both act and will be a consultant for the series, which is set in a World War II internment camp for Japanese-Americans. The show centers on Chester Nakayama (Derek Mio), who is “trying to understand and fight the malevolent entity responsible for a series of bizarre deaths in his community.”
Takei will take on the role of Yamato-san, a “former fishing captain and community elder.”
Production on the show begins in January, and Season Two will air next year on AMC.
