Yeoh Joins Avatar Sequels

Michelle Yeoh, Star Trek: Discovery‘s Philippa Georgiou, has signed on for Avatar sequels, joining Star Trek: Beyond‘s Zoe Saldana.
She will portray Dr. Karina Mogue, a scientist, in the sequels.
“Throughout her career, Michelle has always created unique and memorable characters,” said Director James Cameron. “I look forward to working with Michelle to do the same thing on the Avatar sequels.”
The first of the four sequels to 2009’s Avatar, Avatar 2 will be released on December 18, 2020. Avatar 3 will follow on December 17, 2001, Avatar 4 on December 20, 2024, and Avatar 5 on December 19, 2025.
